1. Jurassic Adventure

Join us on an adventure back through time and explore the world of the dinosaurs! We’ll create erupting volcanoes, design our own dinosaurs, examine fossils, and uncover extinction theories. Was it an asteroid, a volcano, or something else…? Use evidence you gather to make your own conclusions!

1.0 AM Junior LEGO Robotics (Ages 5-8)

In this junior version of our popular LEGO robotics camp, you will learn basic computer programming to teach your robot to sing, dance, navigate a maze, and more! The last day of camp includes an epic sumo wrestling battle!

Note: Campers do not get to keep the robot.

1.0 PM Introduction to LEGO Robotics (Ages 8-11)

Using basic principles of engineering and computer programming, campers will design, build, and program a robot to perform different tasks. The last day of camp includes an epic sumo wrestling battle!

Creatures and characters from science fiction take over Science Central! Build robots with Tony Stark and explore the world of extreme weather with Storm. Mix up potions and learn about magical creature care with Harry Potter and Newt Scamander. Even master the Force like a true Jedi in this fantastical week of camp!

1.2 Tuesday Science in Fiction and Fantasy

Creatures and characters from science fiction take over Science Central! Build robots with Tony Stark and explore the world of extreme weather with Storm. 1.5 Friday Science in Fiction and Fantasy

2. Seussian Science

Jump into your favorite Dr. Seuss stories while you perform some zany science activities! Stack the hats belonging to the cat, brew the goo of Bartholomew, and plant truffula trees to put the Lorax at ease. Oh the things you can find if you don’t stay behind!

2.0 AM Introduction to Gaming (Ages 5-9)

Create your own animated video and computer games. Construct characters and stories as you progress from learning the drag-and-drop programming method to writing your own commands. At the end of the week, you may save your programs to continue at home and to show your friends!

Notes:

Bring ear buds if you would like to cut down on outside noise, and a USB flash drive if you want to save your program.

2.0 PM Introduction to Gaming (Ages 10-13)

Dive into the artistic side of science and technology! Use your imagination and delve into the science behind film making, explore 3D technology, and even take a stab at programming Science Central’s Science on a Sphere exhibit!

3. Out of This World!

Blast off into the stars with this space-themed camp! We’ll discover the wonders of the planets in our solar system as well as uncover all the mysteries of the moon with our Science on a Sphere exhibit. Build and launch varieties of rockets, eat the phases of the moon, and even examine extraterrestrial life!
