Summ20170605-09b - Ages 10-13 - Intro to Gaming - 12:30PM

Create your own animated video and computer games. Campers will construct characters and stories as they progress from learning the drag-and-drop programming method to writing their own commands. At the end of the week you may save your programs to continue at home and to show your friends!

Notes: Bring ear buds if you would like to cut down on outside noise, and a USB flash drive if you want to save your program. Programs will be saved in Windows format.

Campers are invited to explore engineering with the use of technology! Campers will be using computer programming hand-in-hand with physical creations they will build. They will complete challenges with their creations and by the end of the week, become master engineers!

Summ20170724-28h - Ages 10-13 - LEGO Games!(Advanced) - 12:30PM

Based on First LEGO League, this advanced LEGO Robotics camp focuses on more sophisticated programming and more complex problem-solving. Campers will work in teams as they explore solutions to World Class Challenge this year’s quest to uncover innovative ways to teach and learn. Prior experience with LEGO robotics is recommended. Note: Campers do not get to keep the robot.

USF Solar Camp - Week 2 Ages 11-13

This Camp is on the Campus of University of Saint Francis.

Science Central partners with the University of Saint Francis in a solar-powered adventure, Æuture of Energy! Have you wondered where electricity comes from? Do you want to build a solar panel or a hydrogen fuel cell? This camp will get you up to speed when you build your own solar powered car and race it. We¬l take a look at many ways energy comes into our lives, from wind generators to race cars. Lots of hands on activities as you build your own power sources and test them out. These Camp are on the Campus of University of Saint Francis.
