At Science Central, we’ve got summer camp fun tailored to fit your schedule!

You can pick and choose the camps you’d like your child to attend, choosing by the day or by the week.

Each single day camp is a stand-alone event; you can register for just a day,

You’ll have flexibility to schedule family appointments and vacations, while keeping your child learning throughout the summer.

1.0 AM Junior LEGO Robotics (Ages 6-8)

In this junior version of our popular LEGO robotics camp, you will learn basic computer programming to teach your robot to sing, dance, navigate a maze, and more! The last day of camp includes an epic sumo wrestling battle!

Note: Campers do not get to keep the robot.

1.0 PM Introduction to LEGO Robotics (Ages 8-11)

Using basic principles of engineering and computer programming, campers will design, build, and program a robot to perform different tasks. The last day of camp includes an epic sumo wrestling battle!

Note: Campers do not get to keep the robot.

1.1 Monday: Summer Sampler Platter: Dig It!

Become an honorary geologist and dig into rocks and minerals!

1.2 Tuesday: Summer Sampler Platter:To the Stars

Traverse the galaxy and explore the planets in our system and beyond!

1.3 Wednesday: Summer Sampler Platter: Water, Water Everywhere

Dive under the sea to investigate fish, sharks, and more! How can bugs walk on water? Can you get metal to float while a cotton ball sinks? Jump in and find out!

1.4 Thursday: Summer Sampler Platter: Science of Sports

Test how biology and physics contribute to making a great athlete while we play sports and games to get our bodies moving!

1.5 Friday: Summer Sampler Platter: Fizzes and Booms

Cook up some bubble trouble! This camp is the messy kid’s dream. Learn why some concoctions bubble and others go boom!

2.0 AM Introduction to Gaming (Ages 6-8)

Create your own animated video and computer games. Construct characters and stories as you progress from learning the drag-and-drop programming method to writing your own commands. At the end of the week, you may save your programs to continue at home and to show your friends!

Notes: Bring ear buds if you would like to cut down on outside noise, and a USB flash drive if you want to save your program.

2.0 PM Introduction to Gaming (Ages 8-11)

Bring your favorite characters from fiction and fantasy to life! Join the Avengers in investigating the science behind superpowers. Examine germs and DNA while we explore a zombie outbreak, help Harry, Ron and Hermione brew magical potions, and even master the Force!

2.2 Tuesday: The Science in Sci-Fi

Explore engineering with the use of technology! Use technology to advance the physical creations you’ll build. Then, complete challenges with your creations and by the end of the week, become master engineers!

4.0 AM Half-Pint Science Sampler! (Ages 3-5)

Campers will explore the different sides of science in a hands on way. Campers will experience everyday science from observing animal habitats to having fun with the science of water.

4.0 PM Introduction to EV3 LEGO (Ages 6-8)

4.1 Monday: Mythbusters

Have you ever wondered (but been too scared to test) what happens when you eat PopRocks and Coke? What would happen if you dropped a penny from a skyscraper? Join the next generation of Mythbusters as you blow apart urban legends and popular beliefs. Use science to test out myths and decide: are they plausible or BUSTED?
