Summ20170605-09a - Ages 8-11 - Intro to Gaming - 8:30AM

Create your own animated video and computer games. Campers will construct characters and stories as they progress from learning the drag-and-drop programming method to writing their own commands. At the end of the week you may save your programs to continue at home and to show your friends!

Notes: Bring ear buds if you would like to cut down on outside noise, and a USB flash drive if you want to save your program. Programs will be saved in Windows format.

In this junior version of our popular LEGO robotics camp, you will learn basic computer programming to teach your robot to sing, dance, navigate a maze, and more! The last day of camp includes an epic sumo wrestling battle!

Science and creativity collide in this unique and innovative camp! Campers will delve into the world of technology to design an interactive story utilizing Science Central’s Science on a Sphere exhibit. As well as programming the sphere, campers will learn acting and presentation skills that will help them to create a performance sure to WOW friends and family!

Campers are invited to explore engineering with the use of technology! Campers will be using computer programming hand-in-hand with physical creations they will build. They will complete challenges with their creations and by the end of the week, become master engineers!

Based on First LEGO League, this advanced LEGO Robotics camp focuses on more sophisticated programming and more complex problem-solving. Campers will work in teams as they explore solutions to World Class Challenge this year’s quest to uncover innovative ways to teach and learn. Prior experience with LEGO robotics is recommended. Note: Campers do not get to keep the robot.
